With a housing development team lead by Sherman Associates, Habitat for Humanity and JO Companies, The Heights is the largest affordable and workforce housing investment in Minnesota history and is delivering 1,000 homes for all ages and incomes. With a strategic mix of housing types, including workforce, market-rate, affordable and deeply affordable housing, The Heights will be a complete neighborhood with the dignified homes and natural beauty we all deserve with 20 acres of parks, trails and green space.

Rooted in Community, Built for the Future

The Heights is the largest modern-day investment in Saint Paul’s Greater East Side, rooted in community and shaped by a bold, shared vision. From the beginning, local voices have guided every step of this redevelopment, ensuring it honors the strength, culture and history of the neighborhood. In 2024, The Heights served as the centerpiece of the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, bringing national attention and hundreds of volunteers to help build homes. With a focus on opportunity and generational wealth, The Heights will offer housing for all!
